TOTAL BATTERY HAS ALL DIFFERENT SIZES AND CHEMISTRIES OF AUTOMOTIVE BATTERIES

An automotive battery is a rechargeable battery that supplies electrical energy to a motor vehicle. However many new cars today have additional electrical load demands placed on the vehicle from all the computer, electronic accessories and stop-start ignition systems so battery manufacturers have created additional battery technologies to cope with these new demands.

TYPES OF AUTOMOTIVE BATTERIES:

Flooded Wet Lead batteries are conventional batteries that have free flowing acid in them, these batteries are the most inexpensive and the most basic type of battery in the industry. They are sold in both maintenance and maintenance-free designs.

Absorbed Glass Mat (AGM) batteries absorb the electrolyte in a special fiberglass matting. They are designed to last longer and perform better than conventional wet batteries, they have more reserve for the higher demands of the new car’s electronics. One of the main advantages to AGM is that they do not require any maintenance and only require periodic charging during storage.

Pure Lead AGM batteries are similar to the regular AGM batteries with the exception that 99.9% pure lead is used within the battery. Similar to AGM but with a lower internal resistance which allows for more powerful starting at colder temperatures. Instead of flat plates these plates are wound up into a spiral.

Thin Plate Pure Lead (TPPL-AGM) batteries are also similar to Pure Lead AGM Batteries as they are made of 99.99% lead but the lead is rolled, not casted, and just 1mm thick. This is the ultimate battery designed for any application requiring maximum performance and longest life. Using high compression design the life expectancy can be 28X longer than a flooded battery. The Pure Lead Thin Plate technology can reduce battery replacements by 50% versus a conventional AGM battery.
