The Resource Productivity and Recovery Authority is the regulator mandated by the Government of Ontario to enforce the province’s circular economy laws.
How the EHF charge will be used to collect, reduce, reuse, recycle and recover batteries
This EHF charge is an Environmental Handling Fee charged by Total Battery that will be paid to Call2Recycle who is our Resource Recovery Service Provider in compliance to the Resource Productivity & Recovery Authority of Ontaro (RPRA) as part of our responsibility to make all Battery producers accountable for their products and packaging once consumers are finished with them; The RPRA sets mandatory and enforceable requirements for resource recovery; and gives producers choices for resource recovery services in a competitive market.
